Max Tyler Year 3 Update
Grace, Mercy, and Peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!
I do apologize for not making one of these sooner, it has been a very busy and crazy summer and fall.
First things first, I graduated! I graduated on May 1, and began working the next Monday. I worked a handful of jobs this summer, full time for Lakeshore Glass making and installing windows in cars, boats, and houses, as well as installing garage doors. I also worked with a spray foam company on the side, as well as a couple odd jobs every week. I was incredibly busy this summer, but I did get to go out fishing and hunting every once in a while. I caught some Halibut, Cod, and Sockeye Salmon. That was one of the highlights of the summer, being out on the water in God's creation, and being able to feed families with my catch.
Hunting was a little lackluster this summer, we went bear hunting in Sadies Cove and China Poot Bay, but we never saw any bears that were close enough. However, even though the summer was lackluster, the fall was not. I was blessed to go on a Moose Hunt in St. Mary's Alaska, and boy was that a trip. From almost missing our flights, to quartering a Moose at 11pm till 8 am, and sinking our inflatable boat on the way back to the airport, it was a trip of a lifetime. Even though it was an incredibly hard trip, I only drew closer to God, and I got to feed over a dozen people with the Moose I got.
I started my internship earlier this year in August, and it has been so much fun, and so much learning. I have had the privilege to make ABI's Academic Catalog. I know that may sound boring, but I greatly enjoyed it. I got to use Canva and dive into graphic design a little bit, work with the staff members on which policies to include and get an inside look into the organization. Our old Academic Catalog was 27 pages, a normal colleges is between 60-120, ours is now 62 pages, and significantly more robust than what it was before. The catalog is crucial for our school to get transfer agreements with other colleges, so our students can pursue further education in more than 3 states. This is a huge thing for ABI, and it's going to help us a ton.
A part of my internship is teaching, and I get the privilege of teaching Hamartiology (the study of sin) next week, and next month I get to teach on Soteriology (the study of salvation), and spiritual warfare. I am really excited to dive into these teachings and pursue what I am passionate about.
Thank you all for the prayers, and reaching out. I greatly appreciate it! I am not sure when I will be returning to Michigan, most likely it will be next summer, but it could be this winter, i'm not sure yet.
Please continue to pray for wisdom and direction of what to do and where to go after my internship.
